Bak Tonneau Covers

More Bak Industries tonneau cover products were added to the site last weekend. The tonneau covers that were added are the BakFlip HD tonneau covers, BakFlip CS tonneau covers, RollBak tonneau covers and TiltBak tonneau covers. In addition to these new models, we also added BakFlip G2 tonneau covers for Honda, Lincoln, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota. Previously, only the BakFlip G2 tonneau covers for Chevy, Dodge and Ford were showing.

The BakFlip HD is a beefier version of the BakFlip G2 tonneau cover. The BakFlip HD tonneau cover is a little thicker and is rated to support 100# more weight than the BakFlip G2. It is produced from aircraft grade aluminum and offers refined features from powder-coated components to a thicker core. It also carries a 2 year warranty instead of the 1 year warranty available with the G2.

For us, we are really excited about the new BakFlip CS tonneau cover. CS stands for contractor series. The BakFlip CS tonneau cover comes with an integrated rack system, designed initially for those that need to haul materials. However Bak Industries has created several accessory items for the BakFlip CS tonneau cover that enable you to carry all sorts of stuff. And for us, stuff means mountain bikes.

The RollBak tonneau cover is the most advanced roll top tonneau on the market. Not only is it extremely strong, it features self adjusting glides and quite operation. The RollBak tonneau cover also allows you full use your truck's stake pockets.

The TiltBak tonneau cover is lighter than most, but still has a weight rating of over 400#. And since it too allows full access to your truck's stake pockets, it eliminates the biggest disadvantage to tilt up style tonneau covers by allowing you to carry many loads ON TOP of the tonneau cover.

LeBra and Downey Products Tonneau Covers

After months of trying to acquire Lebra Tonneau replacement parts and Downey Products Tonneau replacement parts I have given up. I have had numerous contacts with both companies as well as the company that purchased these product lines, Bestop Products.

According to the previous owner of the product lines all manufacturing assets and inventory of Lebra Tonneau replacement parts and Downey Products Tonneau replacement parts were shipped to Bestop. According to Bestop, they only received manufacturing assets and no inventory. They have also indicated that they do not intend to continue the product lines or manufacturing Lebra Tonneau replacement parts.

To provide our customers with an alternative, we are adding new tonneau cover lines to our web site. We have been selling the Snap-E-Top soft tonneau for well over a year now and have had great response from our customers. The Snap-E-Top Tonneau products are very well made with quality components and they ship out in 1 - 2 days.

For people looking for a hard tonneau solution, we are in the process of adding the Bak Industries line of Tonneau covers. The BakFlip Tonneaus are already listed at AccessorizeYourVehicle and the Tilt Bak and Roll Bak Tonneaus we be available soon. LeBra Racing Discontinued

LeBra has informed us that the Lebra Racing front end covers have been discontinued. This means that once the current inventory of those products have been sold, the product will no longer be available. We are still showing the LeBra Racing page on our AccessorizeYourVehicle.com web store. If you enter your year make and model and the product selector shows you a buy button, that means that LeBra may have the bra in stock for your vehicle. I say "may" because the product selector application that Lebra provides for you to find your part is not 100% accurate. Once you submit your order we will with LeBra to make sure it is in stock.

Lebra and Custom Hood Protectors is not affected by this change. They are still being produced and shipped. A new production facility in Pauls Valley, OK has been setup by Covercraft, the parent company of LeBra products.

Lebra, CHP & Spidy Gear shipping delays

The products were expected to start shipping again this week. So far, we have not received any ship notifications for our open orders. I tried to contact Global Accessories' today, but was not able to get a hold of anyone for an update. When I asked our rep at Covercraft if they had any information they refer me to Global Accessories.

Products effected by this delay are Lebra and Lebra Racing front end covers (include CHP hood protectors) and Spidy Gear bed and luggage webs. Dashmat and Premier floor mats are not affected.

This just in from Global:

The move has been painfully slow with many issues. Have been told all LeBra and CHP inventory has been moved into facility, however, production on out of stock items has been delayed.

Many orders have been printed at the warehouse but because of the volume, they are having difficult time keeping up. We should see large volume of shipments today and the first part of next week.

Lebra, CHP & Spidy Gear shipping delays

Sometimes things just don't work out as planned. Take the consolidation of Global Accessories Fremont, Ohio warehouse into Covercraft's warehouse in Pauls Valley, OK. The original plan was to transfer the inventory the week of November 16th and resume shipments the following Monday on November 23rd.

We haven't been told what happened, but based on the last report, the inventory is still in transit. Bummer. I know from experience that the folks at Covercraft strive to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, so I would imagine there is some added stress this holiday season in Oklahoma.

The products are expected to start shipping again next week. So they will still arrive in plenty of time for Christmas and should even arrive in time for those traveling over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house for holiday festivities.

Lebra, CHP & Spidy Gear shipping delays

Orders for Lebra Front End Covers, CHP Custom Hood Protectors and Spidy Gear Bed Webbs will not ship this week. As part of the consolidation and integration of the Global Accessories product lines into the Covercraft family of products the listed products are being transferred to Covercraft's distribution center in Pauls Valley.

Dashmat, Premier Floor Mats and Covercraft's other product lines are not effected by this move.

Interior Covers

We recently added Covercraft Interior Covers to our web site.

Easy-to-use protection for convertibles when the top is down. Interior covers protect the windshield and interior from damaging UV rays, airborne pollutants and droppings from trees and birds. Interior covers are easy to install and include a theft-deterrent tab that locks inside the truck.

Although the term is more commonly associated with pickup truck bed covers, Interior Covers are also referred to as Tonneau Covers. In fact, the original use of the French word tonneau was in reference to a fixed rear seat, usually a dealer add-on, that initially had a rear facing access door. These add-on rear seats were often fitted with a cover when not in use, hence the term Tonneau Cover.

Covercraft no longer markets a line of Truck Tonneau Covers, but we carry other brands which can be found on our Tonneau Cover page.
