Wolf Console Stock Update

The Full-Size Van Tall Floor Console by Wolf Consoles has been out of stock for several weeks. The consoles are in production and will start shipping this week. Carolina Consoles, the maker of Wolf Consoles expects to be caught up with the back orders on Friday or Monday.

Keep your Car Cover clean

Optimum performance and product life for your car cover is acheived by some easy maintenance steps.

No matter how clean you keep your car, your car cover is still picking up dust and dirt particles each time you put the car cover on and take it off. You may not see the dirt, but its there. And over time, you will start to notice that when you take your car cover off, the windows seem a little smudgy. That's the accumulated dust rubbing off on your windshield.

For my car cover, I have to clean the area behind the rear tires on a regular basis. This is because, being a sports car, the car is desgned to use tires that are softer than the average passenger car. Softer tires on the car do make it corner really nice making the driving experience really fun. But softer tires wear down faster too, and that rubber has to go somewhere. Unfortunately, a fair amount of it finds it way to the lower quarter panels. Right where my car cover wraps around.

I always, well, almost always, use a Coverking car duster to clean off the rear portion of my car before putting the car cover on. This may seem like a hassle, but really, its no big deal. The car duster is in the trunk with the car cover and I am already at the rear of the car. So I grab the car duster, reach around each side of the car and dust bottom of the body panels from one rear tire to the other.

But eventually, I still have to clean my cover. And how you clean it is very important. Different car cover fabrics require different cleaning methods. Some fabrics can just be taken to a commercial laundromat while others should NEVER be put an any type of washing machine.

New Covercraft Seat Saver Fabrics

Covercraft has added two new fabrics to their line of SeatSavers seat covers .

The new fabrics are a urethane coated polyester material that provides a waterproof barrier that still provides breath ability for driving comfort. This material is ideal for summer beach goers or picking up the kids at the community pool.

Colgan Custom Bra for Cars and Trucks

On October 30, 2009 Covercraft Industries, Inc. acquired Colgan Customs, the Irvine, CA manufacturer of the top of the line front-end bra. The move of the Colgan manufacturing process to Pauls Valley began back in February 2010. The complete conversion will take some time as all patterns have to be digitized for incorporation into Covercraft's CAD system.

The good news for Colgan Custom fans is that Covercraft was able to retain several of key Colgan Custom employees. I am sure some of them, after the recent tornado attack, are saying "what was I thinking?", but I am sure Covercraft was thinking that this will almost guarantee that the quality and craftsmanship that go hand in hand with the Colgan Custom name will also be retained. To further assure that Colgan Custom will stand for high quality and superior fit, Covercraft is keeping the manufacturing of the Colgan Custom line in the good old USA.

Lebra, Dashmat and Premier Floor Mats

Even though most internet purchase decisions are heavily influenced by price, at AccessorizeYourVehicle.com we always believed that low prices are really a very small part of what we provide to our customers. Additional aspects which are sometimes overlooked include before and after sales support.

However, another service we provide to the market in general is to be a source of industry as well as product information that potential customers can use in making their purchase decisions. We are internet shoppers and buyers too, so we try to translate our shopping experiences, both good and bad, into ideas that make our customer's experience better.

We received some additional information from Covercraft concerning the product lines they acquired from Global Accessories. The Lebra front end cover line resumed production and the shelves are steadily nearing a fully stocked status. Although Covercraft currently manufactures their own line of car bras , their library of vehicle patterns is not nearly as extensive as are available in the Lebra line. Our contact at Covercraft said that the Lebra factory has been playing catch up, presumably replenishing the Lebra inventory which was slowly depleted over the 3 to 4 months of no production last year. Currently lead times for LeBra front end masks is 2 - 3 weeks for out of stock items.

The Dashmat line of products are also in production but have not yet reached "optimum levels". Even so, turnaround times for orders is steadily improving and is now running at around 1 - 2 weeks.

We have not heard much from Covercraft about the Premier floor mat line, but the lead times for those products do not seem to suffer the same delays that have occurred with Lebra and Dashmats.
