During one of those rare times when we are seeing the cost of living index drop sharply, Covercraft has announced a general price increase on the product lines they have purchased through the acquisition of Global Accessories.

Covercraft has informed us at AccessorizeYourVehicle.com that they will be discontinuing the flat rate shipping model that Global Accessories had used on all their products.  Effective September 1, 2009 Covercraft will be charging standard FedEx and UPS rates to ship these products.

Essentially this acts as an across the board price increase since the fixed amount that Global Accessories charged for shipping their products was more of a handling fee with the actual freight charges figured into their product pricing.  By moving the freight charges out of the product's pricing and making it a separate charge, they are effectively raising their prices.

At AccessorizeYourVehicle.com, we will evaluate each of Global's product groups to determine how much we will have to increase our prices to offset this cost.
