Cover handling in snow and ice
As a follow up to my last post on vehicle cover care and maintenance, I wanted to pass along another gem provided by Charley Frank, AAP from Coverite.
With the cold weather approaching the east coast (its still sunny and 75 here in beautiful, but somewhat charred Southern California), people may wander outside only to find that their vehicle only to find that the cover and vehicle have become one due to freezing night temperatures.
To remove a cover from any type of vehicle follow this advice from Charley:
The only other question that may be asked, how to remove ice or snow frozen to vehicle. The answer is not to tear the fabric away from the vehicle. Pour warm water over the fabric, let it warm the area and slowly and gently pull the cover away from the surface.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to mention that in addition to car covers and truck covers, Coverite also has SUV covers plus Van covers and ATV covers.
